Dongyun Du

South Central University for Nationalities

Dongyun Du has made significant contributions to various fields of environmental science and medicine. Their research focuses on developing innovative technologies for the remediation of heavy metals in contaminated water and soil, including arsenic removal using mechanically activated waste slag, sulfidized nanoscale zerovalent iron, and polypyrrole/natural pyrite composites. In addition, Du has explored strategies to maintain ovarian function and addressed the cellular and molecular mechanisms of ovarian aging. Their work also encompasses the application of novel passivators for heavy metal sorption, including electrolytic manganese residues and calcite, as well as the development of an eco-friendly flower-like Mg/Al/Fe-Cldh nanoparticle for efficient arsenate removal from aqueous solutions. These contributions have the potential to improve environmental sustainability and human health outcomes.
