Habib Ghanbarpourasl has made significant contributions to the fields of signal processing, navigation, and control systems through various research articles. Kalman filtering with linear state equality constraints was developed by separating variables, enabling more efficient computations. Research on spacecraft attitude determination utilizing an electrostatically suspended gyroscope with rotating rings enhances accuracy in planetary exploration. Additionally, minimum variance pole placement methods were explored for uncertain linear control systems, while a pseudo-linear inertial navigation algorithm improved navigation precision. Attitude reconstruction techniques from strap-down rate gyros using power series and quaternion-based initial alignment algorithms also showcased advancements.
