Katelyn B. Ferreira
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Katelyn B. Ferreira's research has significantly advanced understanding and management of adverse events in seriously ill older adults, as well as eating disorder screening and referral in pediatric primary care. Their work also sheds light on the experiences of World Trade Center general responders dealing with frailty and age-related conditions, and the financial burden of dementia on individuals and families. Additionally, Ferreira's studies have investigated the association between income and homebound status among older Medicare beneficiaries, and provided insights into long-term services and support systems for these individuals. These contributions highlight the importance of addressing the unique needs of vulnerable populations.
