Shanghai Medical Information Center
Linglin Tan's research focuses on understanding obesity trends among Chinese school-age children and adolescents, as well as the development of effective home-based screening methods. The researcher has made significant contributions to this field through studies on transition patterns of weight status, prevalence trends from 2010 to 2015, and the identification of appropriate anthropometric indices for childhood obesity screening. Additionally, Tan's work explores the impact of dietary interventions, such as α-ketoglutarate supplementation, on energy status and antioxidant capacity in animals. These findings have important implications for public health policies aimed at preventing childhood obesity and improving nutrition-related outcomes in China.
