Ángel Robles has made significant contributions to the understanding of sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that affects multiple organ systems. Recent research highlights the coexistence of immune-mediated diseases in sarcoidosis patients (43 cases), as well as the frequency and clinical significance of this phenomenon among 1737 patients. Additionally, characterization studies reveal the outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients with sarcoidosis and the importance of radiological stages in determining systemic phenotype. The researcher has also investigated the impact of systemic lupus erythematosus/antiphospholipid syndrome on pregnancy control and the relationship between multiple sclerosis treatment and aseptic steatonecrosis. Furthermore, studies have examined prognostic factors for death in hemophagocytic syndrome and assessed the efficacy and safety of canakinumab treatment in patients with periodic fever syndrome, as well as life-threatening cryoglobulinemia and dementia with Lewy bodies, contributing to a deeper understanding of these complex conditions.
