Greifswald University Hospital
Patryk Moskwa's research has significantly advanced our understanding of pancreatic cancer development and metastasis through studies on DNA polymerase theta. Additionally, investigations on nonhomologous end joining (NHEJ) repair mechanisms have shed light on the role of microRNAs in modulating DNA repair pathways. Research on comparative imaging techniques for pancreas size measurements highlights the importance of accurate diagnostics. MicroRNA analysis has identified novel targets for radioresistance and sensitivity to PARP inhibitors, while also uncovering a functional link between mir-182 and BRCA1 downregulation. These findings contribute broadly to cancer research, DNA repair mechanisms, and host defense systems in cystic fibrosis patients.
