Pilar García‐Roca has made significant contributions to the fields of immunosuppression and pharmacokinetics, particularly in pediatric renal transplantation. Research on the impact of dietary and antioxidant vitamins on oxidative stress in newborns, as well as the effects of CYP3A5 genotype on tacrolimus levels in children, have provided valuable insights into optimizing treatment regimens. Additionally, population pharmacokinetic analysis has shed light on the role of CYP3A5 genotype and formulation in predicting tacrolimus exposure in Mexican pediatric patients. These studies highlight the importance of personalized medicine and tailored dosing strategies to ensure optimal immunosuppressive outcomes in vulnerable populations.
