Rho Hyun Seong's research contributions significantly advance our understanding of chromatin remodeling and its role in cellular differentiation, immune responses, and disease. In the fields of epigenetics, immunology, and stem cell biology, their studies reveal the critical regulatory mechanisms governing postnatal dermal fibroblast maturation, basal progenitor proliferation, and neocortex expansion. Notably, they demonstrated that histone acetylation selectively promotes these processes by activating Trnp1 expression. Moreover, their findings highlight the importance of chromatin regulators like Srg3 in modulating immune responses, such as enhancing Th2 responses in atopic dermatitis, and protecting against sepsis through IL-10-producing macrophages.
