Swetha Srinivasan has made significant contributions to the field of medical genetics through their research on genetic testing awareness and cascade screening. Studies examining language competency in genetic testing among adults in the US (1) and barriers and facilitators for population genetic screening (2, 3) highlight the need for effective communication and stakeholder engagement in promoting genetic literacy. The development and initial testing of a multi-stakeholder intervention for Lynch syndrome cascade screening using an intervention mapping approach (4) demonstrates a promising strategy for increasing uptake of genetic testing among cancer patients at risk.
